Repair work on the concrete slab below the Gavins Point Dam Spillway. From the USACE press release, "The slab was damaged when record amounts of water were released from the spillway during the Flood of 2011.
The project will have three objectives:
+ make repairs to the concrete slab and the gravel frost blanket;
+ conduct additional assessments on the spillway; and
+remove debris that has been deposited on the slab.
Work on the project is expected to take several months."

Thursday Night - Partly cloudy, with a low around 48. East southeast wind 8 to 11 mph.

Friday - A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 70. Breezy, with a south southeast wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 17 to 22 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
